Rev. Fr. Edward Akwasi Gyebi Donates GH₵1,000 to Support Rosary Night Evangelisation in Kumasi
Kumasi, Ghana– Rev. Fr. Edward Akwasi Gyebi, Chaplain for the Catholic Archdiocese of Rosary Night, has donated GH₵1,000 to Nelly, ambassador for Rosary Night, in recognition of her work promoting the devotion.
The presentation took place in support of Rosary Night prayers, which are held every first Friday of the month at St. Peter’s Major Basilica in the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi.
Fr. Gyebi used the occasion to announce that anyone who intensifies evangelisation within the month will be recognized with an award. He encouraged all Catholics to promote Rosary Night, describing the Rosary as “our spiritual weapon.”
Nelly, who served as ambassador for Rosary Night in June, expressed surprise and gratitude for the gesture.
“I honestly didn’t know how to react. I’m so much grateful, family. Prepare to be sick of me,” she said. “Praise be to God. God bless Rosary Night Management. God bless my loved ones and supporters. God bless everyone. I pray and promise to do more than I’m doing. So help me God.”
The donation and pledge are expected to boost participation and outreach as the parish prepares for the next Rosary Night session.
