Offinso North MP Commends NPP Leadership for Capacity-Building Programme with ACEPA & Laurentian University

The Member of Parliament for Offinso North has expressed appreciation after participating in a six-day capacity-building programme organized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Leadership in collaboration with the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA) and Laurentian University, Canada.

The training brought together Members of Parliament to build practical skills and strategic insight.

According to the Offinso North MP, the programme delivered “valuable practical knowledge, strategic perspectives, and analytical tools” focused on four key areas: legislative oversight, policy formulation, constituency representation, and political party organization.

“Programmes of this nature play a critical role in strengthening parliamentary performance, promoting effective leadership and deepening Ghana’s democratic governance,” the MP stated.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, share experiences and further equip myself to advance the interests of Offinso North and Ghana as a whole.”

Reaffirming his commitment to service, he added that as MP for Offinso North he “remains committed to continuous learning and professional development to better serve the people of my constituency and contribute meaningfully to national development.”

He extended special thanks to the Minority Caucus leadership for facilitating the initiative.

That includes Minority Leader Hon. Osahen Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, Deputy Minority Leader Hon. Patricia Appiagyei, Minority Chief Whip Hon. Frank Annor-Dompreh, and Deputy Minority Whips Hon. Habib Iddrisu and Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, “for their foresight and commitment.”

The collaboration between NPP Parliamentary Leadership, ACEPA, and Laurentian University is part of ongoing efforts to equip Ghana’s legislators with modern tools for effective representation and governance.
