“MP Samuel Atta Mills Clears GH¢4,100 Medical Debt for Mother and Son at Elmina Poly Clinic”
The member of parliament for Konenda Edna Eguafo Abirem , Hon, Samuel Atta Mills, has rescued and set free a frustrated mother who was detained at the Elimina Poly Clinic for her inability to pay medical bills after two weeks treatment.
According to the lawmaker and ranking member on the public accounts committee, he took a patient to Elmina Polyclinic for treatment. Upon reaching the facility, a woman from Dutch Komenda was crying uncontainably.
The woman narrated to him that her son, who was admitted and treated for two weeks, has been detained by management of the facility due to an unpaid medical bill of ghs 4,100.00.
He further promised promised to visit the family to ensure that the boy continues his education without any hindrances.
