Volta Region Shaken by Alleged Ritual Murder: Six Arrested
The Volta Regional Police Command has made significant arrests in connection with a disturbing alleged ritual murder case in Mafi Adidome.
Six individuals, including a herbalist and a fetish priest, have been apprehended for their suspected roles in the gruesome killing of 25-year-old mason, Nelson Anyena.
According to the police, Nelson Anyena was lured to a secluded location by Augustina Fiawoyife, who claimed to be meeting him for a romantic encounter.
He was then ambushed and strangled by Wisdom Hedidor and Courage Bedzo, allegedly on behalf of fetish priest Gblor Noah, who had promised them a fee for a human body for ritual purposes.
The police conducted discreet investigations, gathering crucial evidence and collaborating with local residents.
This led to the arrest of the suspects and the retrieval of the victim’s body from beneath Noah Gblor’s shrine. Shockingly, two additional unidentified bodies were also discovered during the exercise.
The suspects are currently in custody and are expected to face justice on August 8, 2025.
The Volta Regional Police Command has urged the family and community members to remain calm as investigations continue, appreciating the public’s cooperation in the matter.
