NDC Leadership in Atwima Mponua Slams Fake DCE Nomination, Backs Hon. Sakina Oforiwaa

A press release signed by key NDC members in Atwima Mponua has condemned Constituency Secretary Ibrahim Issak’s alleged announcement of his appointment as DCE nominee without the President’s knowledge.

On Thursday 19th June, 2025, our hearts were saddened to witness disgraceful political behavior of our Constituency Secretary, Ibrahim Issak for deceiving the good people of Atwima Mponua and Ghana at large that he is the official DCE nominee by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama (President of the Republic of Ghana) whiles all he did is faux to disturb the peace of mind of Atwima Mponua Constituents.

We know only the president can nominate DCE but Issak Ibrahim announced his appointment without the president knowledge and it’s a sign of dishonesty and put President Mahama administration and Ghana Constitution into ridicule.

This attitude is pure disrespect and a sign of Issak desperate to steal from this administration through the DCE bid and we reject his potential appointment because he can’t be trusted.

We the members and leadership of our great NDC party will resist his appointment should President mistakenly appoint such a liar. We call for better governance to promote Atwima Mponua and only unique Person among the three aspirants is Hon. Sakina Oforiwaa. She is a dedicated party member who has work tirelessly for the NDC.

Her sacrifices and commitment to the NDC party deserve her to be DCE for Atwima Mponua at this crucial time so we are appealing to Our President Mahama to give us his ears to avoid any inconveniences in the District. We need a person who is transparent and accountable, truthful and having integrity in leadership, who can promote Peace, unity and development and there is no one than Hon. Sakina Oforiwaa who used her pregnancy to campaign for the party’s victory in 2024 election.

We will not sit down for a liar like Issak Ibrahim lead us in this district so we are ready to make sure he won’t come to mismanage our resources and put the party in shame.

We are on this release condemning those backbiting Hon. Sakina Oforiwaa. We want to make it clear that allegations from some leadership in the party claiming she took back motorbikes she bought for NDC members for the campaign is not true.

We urge any partly leader who has made this false allegations should come out publicly to apologize or if you sit in a car, motorbike or any other transport Nananom shall take your life for being such a liar.

Once again, We the NDC fraternity in Atwima Mponua urging President Mahama to disregard Issak Ibrahim and consider Hon. Sakina Oforiwaa for the DCE position if not, it will lead the NDC party into disgrace since Assembly members has already voiced out to reject Issak Ibrahim million times should he be nominated because of his insincerity.

The NDC party shall meet the wrath of NDC youth, Members and leadership in Atwima Mponua should Ibrahim Issak is nominated. Long live Ghana Long live NDC Long live Atwima Mponua
