IMPACT OF JOURNALISM: Apenteng D/A Primary School Gets 6-Unit Classroom Block Months After NobleNews / Oyerepa Documentary

Months after a revealing documentary on the deplorable state of Apenteng D/A Primary School in the Nsenoa Electoral Area of the Offinso North Constituency, the community is witnessing a major turnaround.
A 6-unit classroom block project initiated by the Member of Parliament for Offinso North, Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, is currently progressing steadily at Apenteng and the entire Offinso North District
It will be recalled that a few months ago, Mr. Dominic Duut of Oyerepa TV/FM and Head of NobleNews, together with the NobleNews Crew, filed a documentary that exposed the difficult and unsafe conditions under which pupils of Apenteng D/A Primary School were studying.
The documentary, which drew public attention and concern, highlighted the urgent need for proper classroom infrastructure for the school.
In a swift response to the report, Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah commenced the construction of a modern 6-unit classroom block to replace the dilapidated structure.
A visit to the project site at Apenteng shows significant progress of work, bringing hope and excitement to pupils, teachers, and residents of Nsenoa.
Residents and opinion leaders in the area have commended the intervention, describing it as a clear demonstration of how impactful journalism can drive development.
They have particularly praised Mr. Dominic Duut and the entire NobleNews / Oyerepa TV/FM crew for using their platform to amplify the voice of the deprived community.
“This is what journalism should be about. Dominic Duut and NobleNews did not just report the news, they brought development to our children. We are truly grateful to them and to Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah for listening to our cry,” a community elder told NobleNews.
The Apenteng D/A Primary School project is expected to, upon completion, provide a safe and conducive learning environment for hundreds of children in Apenteng and surrounding communities in the Nsenoa Electoral Area.
