GHANAIANS URGED TO EMBRACE VOXY VEHICLES AS “THEY HAVE COME TO STAY

There’s been growing chatter online about newly imported Voxy vehicles being linked to several road accidents. The reports have sparked fear among travelers considering the vehicle for intercity trips.

But transport operators in Kumasi say the problem isn’t the vehicle.

According to Nana Osei, Maintenance Manager of Shamor Intercity Transport Service, the Voxy vehicles themselves are sound. He attributes recent crashes to driver behavior, specifically over speeding.

“The vehicles have no problem, but the drivers who might have caused accidents because of over speeding,” Nana Osei said.

He added that Voxy vehicles have come to stay, and it’s time Ghanaians embrace and patronize them to ease the transportation burden.

Mr. Yaw Oppong, Station Master at Shamor, backed the call for public confidence. He noted that drivers operating Voxy vehicles at their terminal now go through mandatory training.

“Nowadays, drivers who operate Voxy vehicles have been trained. Especially when you come to their transport service, all drivers had acquired license and at least five years experience that helped travel to any part of the country,” Mr. Oppong stated.

With demand for reliable intercity transport rising, operators say the Voxy’s capacity and fuel efficiency make it a practical option for Ghana’s roads once driven responsibly.
