OFFINSO SOUTH NDC: Hon. Sumaila Zakari Gets Massive Endorsement As 150 Branch Youth Organisers Pay For His Filing Fee

OFFINSO SOUTH -The race for the Constituency Youth Organiser position in the Offinso South Municipality of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has taken a decisive turn as Hon. Sumaila Zakari officially picks nomination to contest with overwhelming grassroots backing.

In a powerful show of confidence and solidarity, 150 out of the 176 Branch Youth Organisers in the Offinso South Constituency have mobilized and paid for the nomination and filing fees for Hon. Sumaila Zakari.

The move, described by many as unprecedented in the constituency’s recent political history, signals a broad consensus among the youth wing of the party ahead of the constituency elections.

According to sources within the youth front, the branch youth organisers voluntarily contributed to support Hon. Zakari’s candidature, describing him as a unifier, hardworking, loyal, and a true grassroots man who deeply understands the plight of the youth in the municipality.

Some branch executives who spoke said Hon. Sumaila Zakari has over the years demonstrated unwavering commitment to the NDC from the branch to constituency levels and has been instrumental in mobilizing young people for party activities.

“Hon. Sumaila Zakari is not just a candidate, he is our choice. He has been with us through thick and thin, he listens to us and he has the energy to lead the youth to victory in 2028.

That is why we, the branch youth organisers, decided to pay for his forms,” one branch youth organiser stated.

When contacted, Hon. Sumaila Zakari expressed profound gratitude to the branch youth organisers for the confidence reposed in him.

He pledged to run an inclusive and energetic campaign focused on re-organizing, re-energizing, and adequately resourcing the youth base of the NDC in Offinso South to secure a resounding victory for the party in the 2028 general elections.

He further called for unity among all youth groups within the constituency and assured that if given the nod, he will operate an open-door administration that gives every youth a voice.

Political observers in Offinso South say Hon. Zakari’s massive endorsement from over 85% of the electoral college for the Youth Organiser position gives him a clear head start in what is expected to be a competitive constituency election.

Vetting and balloting for the constituency elections is expected to take place in the coming days in line with the party’s electoral calendar.
