KUMASI: LIFELESS BODY OF MAN FOUND AT ANLOGA JUNCTION

Kumasi, Ashanti Region – Panic gripped residents at Anloga Junction in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region after the lifeless body of a man believed to be in his 50s was found lying in front of a shop early this morning.

The man, who is yet to be identified, was discovered by residents at dawn.

A navigation by Oyerepa FM into the sad incident revealed that the deceased is believed not to be a Ghanaian.

According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Okogyeabour Ocran, the man had been sleeping in front of the shop for several months until his sudden death.

One resident, popularly known as Mama Gee, told newsmen that she had been feeding the man since he began sleeping at the location.

Mama Gee recounted that the deceased’s body was covered with cuts and wounds, although he appeared well and healthy when he was last seen yesterday.

“The body was full of cuts and wounds but we saw him well yesterday, until this morning that we found him dead,” she narrated.

When Oyerepa News visited the scene, the body had already been wrapped in a Police body bag, though no police officer was present at the time of the visit.

Residents are calling on the police to expedite investigations to establish the cause of death and identify the deceased.

Meanwhile, the body is expected to be conveyed to the morgue by police for preservation and autopsy.
