ASANTE MAMPONG: 34-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in a major drain after a heavy downpour.

The people of Asante Mampong in the Sekyere West Municipality were thrown into a state of mourning as a 34-year-old woman identified only as Felicity was found dead in one of the biggest gutters linking Abukutoa River.

Hon. Asamoah, Assembly Member for the Abrukutoaso Electoral Area, confirmed the incident today in an interview with Jingle Fm news .
He disclosed that the deceased was discovered last night around 10:00pm following a heavy downpour in the municipality.

According to Hon. Asamoah,
Residents who gathered at the scene on Monday morning expressed shock at the incident.

The circumstances surrounding her death is not yet established.
Measures are underway to retrieve the body.
