Techiman North: Farmer Undergoes Emergency Surgery Following Suicide Attempt
Residents of Aworowa in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region have been left in shock following an incident involving the cutting of manhood by a 42-year-old cocoa farmer in an alleged suicide attempt.
The man, identified as Kofi Assum, popularly known as Oga, reportedly inflicted severe injury on himself using a cutlass. He was later discovered in a pool of blood by passers-by who quickly raised alarm.
According to eyewitness accounts, residents rushed to the scene and intervened, transporting him to a nearby health facility for urgent medical attention.
He was later admitted to the Techiman Holy Family Catholic Teaching Hospital, where doctors managed to perform emergency surgery. The victim is currently alive and receiving treatment.
