Dual Healthcare Support: MP Cuts Sod for Maternity Block, Gifts Motorbikes to Akumadan
Akumadan, Ghana – In a major push to improve maternal and child healthcare, the Member of Parliament has cut sod for the construction of a modern Maternity Block and an Obstetrics Theatre at the Akumadan Health Center.
The MP Dr.Fred Kyei Asamoah, together with Nana Akumadanhene, performed the ceremony as part of an ongoing commitment to enhance the well-being of constituents.

The new facility will provide a safe, well-equipped environment for expectant mothers, reduce childbirth risks, and ensure timely emergency interventions.
It is also expected to ease pressure on existing health facilities by bringing essential services closer to residents says Dr.Fred Kyei Asamoah.
In a related move, the MP donated two motorbikes to the Health Directorate to boost operational efficiency.
The motorbikes will help health workers carry out outreach services, monitor community health activities, and respond promptly to emergencies across the constituency.
The MP said these interventions are part of a broader plan to invest in healthcare infrastructure and logistics, ensuring no community is left behind in accessing essential health services.
