MCE Acknowledges Traffic Crisis in Afigya Kwabre South, Promises Intervention
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Afigya Kwabre South, Patricia Pearl Ankrah, has assured residents that ongoing traffic challenges across major stretches in the municipality will soon be addressed.
Speaking at a town hall meeting held at Akrowa and organized by the Municipal Assembly in collaboration with community elders, the MCE said authorities are actively engaging relevant stakeholders to find lasting solutions to pressing issues affecting the area.
Key among the concerns discussed were poor road networks, traffic congestion, and other infrastructure deficits impacting daily life in various communities.
In an interview with the media on the sidelines of the meeting, Madam Ankrah identified bad roads as a major cause of traffic congestion. She revealed that the Assembly is currently in talks with the sector minister to ensure that affected roads are rehabilitated.
She further disclosed plans to introduce additional buses to improve transportation and ensure the smooth movement of passengers to their various destinations.
The MCE called on residents to remain calm and patient, assuring them that the government is committed to addressing the challenges confronting the municipality in the near future.
