AKUMADAN YOUTH URGED TO PRIORITIZE EDUCATION AS HON. DR FRED KYEI ASAMOAH TOURS TOWN

 

Akumadan, Offinso North – Wednesday, April 15, 2026.Hon. Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah, Member of Parliament for Offinso North, took to the streets of Akumadan this evening on a sensitization drive aimed at encouraging school-going youth to remain committed to their studies.

The evening tour saw the MP engage directly with young people in the community, with special focus on candidates preparing for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Dr Asamoah stressed the importance of discipline and consistency in academic work, urging students to “stick to their books” as the key to unlocking future opportunities.

As part of his support for education in the constituency, the MP has organized special vacation classes for BECE candidates in Akumadan to help them prepare adequately for the exams.

He assured parents and guardians that his office remains committed to investing in the human capital of Offinso North.

Residents who interacted with the MP described him as a leader with the community at heart.

Many referred to him affectionately as “Nyameba Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah,” expressing the view that his leadership has been a blessing to Offinso North and requiresto be enskined as Nkosuohene for the good people of Offinso North.

“May God keep blessing him,” one community member said during the tour.

The vacation classes are expected to run throughout the break period, providing targeted revision and mentorship for final-year JHS students ahead of the BECE.
