SAD NEWS FROM ODASCO: Veteran Teacher Found Dead in Bungalow

Grief has hit the Oda Senior High School (ODASCO) community following the death of a long-serving teacher on the school’s campus.

Mr. Okyere Asamoah, 58, popularly known as “Man no”, was found dead in his room at the teachers’ bungalow on the ODASCO campus in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region. He taught Business Management at the school.

According to sources at the school, concern grew among colleagues after Mr. Asamoah had been absent from school for several days without notice. A check at his bungalow on campus led to the tragic discovery.

The Ghana Police Service has since conveyed the body for autopsy to establish the cause of death, which has not yet been confirmed.

Mr. Asamoah was described by students and staff as a dedicated educator who had served the school for years. News of his passing has drawn an outpouring of tributes from past and current students on social media.

Police say investigations are ongoing. The school administration has not yet issued an official statement, but counselors are expected to engage students and staff in the coming days.
