Youths Must Get Involved in Governance for National Development – Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah
The Member of Parliament for Offinso North, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, has called on young people to take an active role in governance and decision-making processes to drive national development.
He made this call at a Youth Forum and the launch of the Offinso North Anidasuo Students Assistantship Scholarship Programme, aimed at supporting financially disadvantaged students pursuing tertiary education.

Dr. Kyei Asamoah emphasized that youth participation in governance is crucial for sustainable development, encouraging young people to participate in local government administration, community leadership, and policy discussions.
“Development cannot be achieved without the active participation of the youth.
Your voice matters, your ideas matter, and your involvement in governance will help shape a better future for our communities and the nation,” he said.
The MP also launched a scholarship programme to support tertiary students, with beneficiaries receiving a minimum of GH¢2,000.
He expressed hope that the scheme would motivate academically gifted students to excel in their studies.

Additionally, Dr. Kyei Asamoah expressed concern over foreigners allegedly taking control of dams in Akomadan, depriving local farmers of access to water resources.
He assured residents that he would address the issue.
He also called for investment in youth-driven agricultural initiatives, stressing that agriculture can provide employment and improve livelihoods for young people in rural communities.
