Pope Leo XIV Calls for Global Prayer Amidst Ongoing Conflicts

Vatican City – In response to the escalating wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, Pope Leo XIV has urged priests worldwide to open church doors and invite the faithful to pray the Holy Rosary and humble themselves before the Blessed Sacrament.

The Pope emphasized the gravity of the situation, warning that the conflicts are serious and may spread if not addressed through prayer.

“To stop them, we must pray to God to fill the world with his mercy, to enlighten rulers with the Holy Spirit, and to fight together for peace and love,” he said.

Pope Leo XIV has asked priests to celebrate the Eucharist with simplicity and love, and has appealed to all Christians to unite in daily prayer.

He recommends reciting the Our Father and Hail Mary three times, and sharing a special prayer to send the Holy Spirit to earth.

The Pope’s message includes a specific prayer:

“Most Holy Trinity, Almighty God, Precious Blood of Christ, destroy Satan and nullify and paralyze the plots of those who control the whole world.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, destroy Satan and nullify and paralyze the plots of those who control the whole world.

Saint Michael the Archangel, bind Satan and nullify and paralyze the plots of those who control the whole world. Amen!”

The Vatican urges the faithful to share this message with loved ones and repeat the prayer daily, believing in the power of prayer to bring about world peace.
