Naab C/Inspr. I.K. Winnam Kosong I, a dedicated police officer, has lived a life marked by humility, hard work, and a commitment to public service.

Born on January 7, 1980, Naab Kosong I’s journey is a testament to the power of determination and excellence.

Naab Kosong I’s educational journey began at Denugu Primary and JSS, where he completed his BECE in 1994. He then attended Bawku Secondary School from 1995 to 1998.

After completing his secondary education, he was brought to Accra by his late brother, Michael Gumah, where he began to pursue his passion for law enforcement.

Naab Kosong I joined the Ghana Police Service in 2004 and has since made significant contributions to the force.

He has served in various capacities, including as a general duties officer at Takoradi, Cape Coast, and as the Station Officer of Twifo Praso District.

He holds a Professional Certificate in MTTD from the Ghana Police.

Naab Kosong I has earned a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Purchasing and Supply Management from Takoradi Polytechnic, a Bachelor of Technology in Procurement Management from Takoradi Technical University, and a Certificate in Leadership from Presbyterian University, Ghana.

In addition to his law enforcement duties, Naab Kosong I has been actively involved in community service.

He has served as a committee member on health and road safety committees at the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Assembly and the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District Assembly.

Naab Kosong I is a family man, married to Mad. Evelyn Morikani Yaro Awaah, a professional teacher, and blessed with five children.

He is loved by the Kolmasi Family and the entire community of Denugu. He is the Sub Divisional Chief of Denugu Traditional Area.
