Kennedy Agyapong Signs Peace Pact, Ignores Propaganda
Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, one of the five New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirants, has signed the Peace Pact after noticing an important provision was missing from the document.
The omitted provision required the Electoral Commission to annul results from voting centers that refuse to conduct open-space ballot counting.
The provision, proposed and accepted by all candidates and the Electoral Commissioner, was inadvertently left out of the document given to Agyapong.
He promptly drew attention to the omission, prompting the Chairman of the Presidential Election Committee to apologize and assure that the correction would be made.
Hon. Kennedy Agyapong’s diligence has been praised, with supporters highlighting his commitment to transparency.
“He didn’t just sign; he ensured the document reflected the agreed terms,” a party insider said.
All five aspirants have since signed the corrected Peace Pact, reaffirming their commitment to a peaceful and transparent process ahead of the January 31, 2026, presidential primaries.
