NPP Presidential Aspirants Sign Peace Pact Ahead of January 31 Primaries
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is holding a joint stakeholders meeting at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, where presidential aspirants are signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to commit to a peaceful, transparent, and fair electoral process.
This move aims to promote party unity and uphold democratic values ahead of the January 31, 2026, presidential primaries.
The event, organized by the NPP Presidential Elections Committee, brings together key stakeholders, including national executives, the Presidential Election Committee, and the Council of Elders. The aspirants are expected to pledge to support the eventual winner and maintain party cohesion.
The five aspirants contesting the primaries are Ken Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyei-Agyepong.
