Tragedy on the Roads: 6 six Die in Offinso Samproso Crash
A devastating accident occurred at Offinso Samproso in Ghana’s Ashanti Region,today 7th January 2026 around 5:30 leaving atleast six 6 people dead and several others critically injured.
A commercial bus with Registration Number GT 5509-20 traveling from Techiman to Kumasi collided with a trailer carrying cement with Registration Number GN 5326-22, resulting in the tragic incident.
A bus traveling from Navrongo collided with a cement-laden truck, reportedly due to overspeeding.
“The bus was destroyed beyond recognition, with passengers onboard suffering a massive blow, six died on the spot, leaving the rest in life-threatening injuries”.
The victims were rushed to Offinso St. Patrick Hospital and other nearby facilities for treatment.
The deceased have been moved to the mortuary at St. Patrick Hospital.
Eyewitnesses say the bus crashed into the middle of the truck as it was crossing the road from the cement factory.
