Oforikrom MP Tackles Educational Challenges with Innovative Solutions.
The member of parliament for Oforikrom Constituency, Hon Michael Aidoo, has outlined some prudent measures put in place by his office to curb the challenges facing education in the area.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Oyerepa news, he indicated that despite the many challenges facing the constituency, he is taking up upon himself to lobby for some projects such as water and educational facilities.
According to him, plans are under way to drill boreholes in some of the communities, while some four have been drilled awaiting commissioning.
Talking about educational infrastructure, he lamented that the population at the basic level has put pressure on the few facilities available.
Hon Aidoo was of the view that the Municipal Assembly would be able to take the challenges facing the deplorable state of the facilities since the monetary allocation has increased.
The first term lawmaker revealed that what is missing in the constituency is ICT facilities to enable the pupils to take up the new challenge emerging in the world.
He said he has begun the construction of an ICT project, which will provide the opportunity to school going children to be able to get access to practical learning instead of the older days of learning ICT on the chalk board alone.
The MP told our parliamentary correspondent that, by four years, he would have built four of such facilities.
