“Students Learning Under Trees: Darso Islamic Basic School’s Plea for Help Falls on Deaf Ears”

The Darso Islamic Basic School in the Offinso North district is in dire need of support to complete its basic school structure which has been in existence for a decade of year’s.

The school’s current state is deplorable, with students forced to learn under trees,sun, goats and snakes due to the lack of adequate facilities.

The situation has been exacerbated by the rainy season, which has made it impossible for students to sit and learn.

The school’s administration are  reaching out to the general public out to the education Minister, MP, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, and the DCE, Hon. Caeser Ofosu Acheampong,so that their efforts will be able to meet with a good response.

The assemblyman for the area has also refused to assist, claiming that the school needs to follow formal procedures while the students and teachers are suffering under tree’s and sun which needs urgent attention.

The students, who are preparing for their exams, are in a state of distress.

They are calling on the general public, government, philanthropists, and NGOs to come to their aid.

According to Mr.Yahaya Sumaila Parents have done their part, but their efforts are not enough to complete the school’s structure due to it state.
