UPSA Chaplain Appeals for Support to Re-Build Church Infrastructure
The Chaplain of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Rev. Fr. Anthony Afriyie Amponsah, has made a passionate appeal for support to construct a church building on campus. As a clinical psychologist, Rev. Fr. Amponsah emphasized the importance of nurturing the spiritual and moral fabric of students during their formative years.

“The future belongs to them,” he said. “Those in tertiary education at this time are in their youthful ages and are capable of supporting the church in the future.
The future holds them, and they are the professionals that the church and the nation will rely on. Therefore, we should support them now to train their minds.”

Citing the Latin proverb “Timor Domini sapientiae initium” (“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”), Rev. Fr. Amponsah appealed to Catholics and non-Catholics alike, as well as people of all denominations, to support the church’s efforts.
He emphasized that investing in the spiritual development of students is crucial for building a stronger, more compassionate society.

Rev. Fr. Amponsah’s appeal highlights the need for a dedicated space for worship, reflection, and community building among students.
The proposed church infrastructure will provide a nurturing environment for students to grow in their faith and develop values that will shape their future.
UPSA Chaplain’s appeal is a call to action for individuals, organizations, and faith-based groups to support this worthy cause.
By investing in the spiritual development of students, we can empower the next generation of leaders to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
