Al-Faruq College of Education Students Hold Demonstration Against Administration

A group of students from Al-Faruq College of Education in Wenchi staged a demonstration on campus to express their dissatisfaction with the college administration.

The protest was prompted by several unresolved issues affecting the students’ welfare and academic experience.

The students cited several reasons for the demonstration, including the absence of SRC week celebrations, which they felt deprived them of an opportunity to engage with their leaders and participate in activities that promote student life.

Additionally, they expressed frustration with the dysfunctional student portal, which hindered their ability to access important information and resources.

The students also demanded a detailed breakdown of school fees, which they claimed had not been provided despite repeated requests.

They believed that the school fees were excessive and placed an undue burden on them. Furthermore, they highlighted the irregular water supply on campus, which affected their daily lives and hygiene.

Moreover, the students pointed out the poor state of facilities on campus, including classrooms, dormitories, and other infrastructure, which they claimed had not been properly maintained.

They hope that the demonstration will prompt the college administration to address their grievances and work towards improving their overall experience at the college.

Highlighting these issues, the students aim to bring about positive change and ensure that their concerns are heard and addressed.

The demonstration serves as a call to action for the college administration to prioritize the welfare and academic needs of its students.
