On Sunday, August 10, 2025, a domestic dispute turned violent in Edwenase, Abodom, when a 38-year-old woman, Rebecca Appiah, was stabbed in the stomach by her husband.
The husband had accused Rebecca of infidelity, leading to the attack. After stabbing his wife, the husband attempted to take his own life by ingesting poison. Both are currently receiving treatment at the Bekwai Government Hospital, with the husband in critical condition.
In a separate incident on Monday, August 11, 2025, the lifeless body of 38-year-old farmer Adwoa Antwi was found in a bush at Behenase.
