Obuasi Presbyterian Church Celebrates Parents’ Day in Grand Style
The Children’s Ministry of the Obuasi Presbyterian Church Ascension Congregation celebrated Parents’ Day with great enthusiasm and excitement. The event was marked in a grand style, featuring traditional attire, music, and dance.
The theme for the occasion was “Celebrating Our Heritage, Persisting in Mission.” According to Madam Emilia Asantewah Awuku, President of the Children’s Ministry, the day was set aside to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Presbyterian Church and its impact on the lives of children.
Madam Awuku emphasized that the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has been making a positive impact on the lives of people, especially through the Children’s Ministry.
She highlighted the importance of adopting moral values and character traits that are essential for the development of children.
Madam Charity Agbesi, Secretary of the Children’s Ministry, explained the mission and vision of the Presbyterian Church and its contributions to nation-building, particularly in education, healthcare, and economic development.
She noted that belonging to the Presbyterian Church leaves a lasting impact on children, shaping their moral values and character.
Some of the children who participated in the celebration shared their experiences and expressed their joy and gratitude for the event.
The celebration was a grand success, highlighting the importance of preserving cultural heritage and values while persisting in mission.
