Child labour is a significant challenge in many parts of Ghana, with children being forced to work in hazardous conditions, often at the expense of their education and well-being.

The Offinso South Municipal Assembly’s decision to institute by-laws to curb child labour is a step in the right direction towards addressing this issue.

The by-laws will be implemented in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, social services, and community leaders.

The assembly will also work with parents and guardians to educate them on the importance of protecting their children’s rights and preventing child labour.

The Offinso South Municipal Assembly’s decision to institute by-laws to curb child labour is a commendable effort towards protecting the rights of children and promoting their well-being.

It is hoped that this initiative will serve as a model for other municipalities in Ghana to follow.
