Three Suspects Arrested for Armed Robbery in Central Region
The Central North Regional Police Command has apprehended three suspects for armed robbery at Ntow-Krom near Sekyem in the Central Region. The arrest was made on June 25, 2025, following a tip-off about the incident.

According to reports, the suspects attacked a gold dealer at Sekyem, firing shots and assaulting him before fleeing the scene on a motorbike. A prompt response from the Assin Foso Division and District Police led to the suspects’ arrest at a snap checkpoint in Assin Nyankumase.

During the arrest, the suspects attempted to dispose of the firearm used in the robbery by throwing it into a nearby bush. However, a thorough search of the area resulted in the retrieval of a pump-action gun, a spent cartridge, and a machete. Another pump-action gun was also recovered from the suspects.

The victim has received medical attention, and the three suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. They will be brought before the court to face justice.
