Breaking News: One Dead, 22 Injured in Accra-Kumasi Highway Crash
A devastating road accident has occurred on the Accra-Kumasi highway at Nkawkaw Oframase, resulting in one fatality and injuring 22 others. The collision involved a Kia Granbird bus and a Kia Rhino truck on Tuesday evening.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded quickly to the scene, rescuing trapped passengers and providing medical assistance. Unfortunately, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Kwahu West Municipal Fire Commander, DO II Samuel Mante, has confirmed that the cause of the crash is still under investigation. The injured have been transported to the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital for treatment.
Commander Mante has urged drivers to exercise caution on the roads, particularly on long-distance routes like the Accra-Kumasi highway. He also emphasized the importance of regular vehicle maintenance to prevent such tragedies.
