The Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Abofour, Rev. Fr. Edward Yeboah Biney, has called on Christians and Ghanaians to adopt a culture of responsible management in their daily lives.

According to Fr.Biney, effective management of resources at home, in hospitals, churches, and workplaces can help alleviate the burden on the government and we the individuals as well.

Rev. Fr. Biney cited examples of mismanagement among the youth, such as excessive spending on betting and fashion, which he believes can have negative consequences. He emphasized the importance of home management in shaping the future of children and reducing reliance on the government for all needs.

The priest offered practical tips on responsible living, including creating a budget for ourselves, prioritizing needs over wants, conserving resources, meal planning and cooking at home, decluttering and organizing, saving for emergencies, communicating with family members, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, taking care of maintenance, and seeking support when needed.

Rev. Fr. Biney urged Ghanaians to take ownership of their lives and resources, rather than relying solely on the government to meet their needs.

By adopting a culture of responsible management, individuals can contribute to the development of a more sustainable and self-sufficient society.

Rev. Fr. Biney also advised individuals to turn off gadgets such as electricity, pipes, and televisions when not in use to reduce high bills and donate unused items to those in need.
