Catholic Bishop Visits Community After Tragic Attack
Most Rev. William Avenya, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Gboko, paid a condolence visit to the Yalewata community following a tragic attack that claimed the lives of a mother and four relatives of Rev. Fr. Martin Tsegba, one of his priests.

The Bishop’s visit was a gesture of solidarity with the grieving family and community. He was guided through the ruins by the father and husband of the deceased, who is now left to cope with the unimaginable loss.
Bishop Avenya called on the faithful to continue lifting Fr. Martin, his father, and the entire Yalewata community in prayer. He prayed for God’s consolation for every broken heart and for peace to be restored to their land.
