I Will Do My Best For The Betterment Of The NPP – Bono Communications Director
SUNYANI- The newly appointed Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region, Mr. Fahd Osman, has pledged to work tirelessly for the betterment of the party as it begins its rebuilding process ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In his first official engagement after his appointment, Mr. Osman admitted that the party is facing challenges, especially on the communication front, but said concrete steps are being taken to fix them.
According to him, the regional communications directorate will be expanded and strengthened with the inclusion of more dedicated and competent members to make it more vibrant and effective.
“We acknowledge the challenges, particularly in communication. That is why we are reorganizing.
We will expand the directorate and bring on board more members to make our communication more effective and responsive,” he stated.
As part of the reorganization, Mr. Osman revealed that communicators in the region will undergo special training on legal issues to guide their public discourse and engagements.
He explained that the training has become necessary to prevent communicators from falling foul of the law, especially following recent arrests involving some party communicators.
In addition, he said the directorate will be providing communicators with accurate, fact-based information and well-researched materials to enable them to effectively propagate the party’s message and achievements to the grassroots.
Mr. Osman further indicated that the directorate’s ultimate goal is to work to recapture all parliamentary seats lost by the party in the Bono Region in the 2024 elections.
On concerns about some members defecting or threatening to leave the party after the 2024 defeat, the Communications Director disclosed that the regional leadership is taking proactive steps to address their grievances.
He said efforts are underway to reconcile with all aggrieved members to ensure unity and a united front going forward.
Mr. Osman expressed strong confidence in the NPP’s chances of returning to power in 2028, arguing that the current National Democratic Congress (NDC) government has already disappointed Ghanaians.
He noted that Ghanaians are yearning for the return of the NPP due to what he described as the poor performance of the current administration.
“I will do my best for the betterment of the NPP in the Bono Region and Ghana at large. I am confident that Ghanaians will give the NPP another opportunity in 2028 because the NDC has failed to meet their expectations,” he added.
