Offinso South NASPA President Unveils Emergency Health Fund for Service Personnel

Opoku Justice urges discipline, unity and continuity; commends MCE and Municipal Director Abu Muslim

OFFINSO SOUTH, Ashanti Region- The President of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA), Offinso South Municipality, Mr. Opoku Justice, has launched a welfare initiative dubbed the Emergency Health Fund to support service personnel during unforeseen health emergencies.

The fund was launched during the Association’s general meeting held at the Offinso South Municipal Assembly Hall at Offinso New Town this 18th September 2026. The meeting was hosted by the Municipal Director of the National Service Authority, Mr. Abu Muslim.

In his address, Mr. Justice explained that the fund is designed to serve as a financial safety net for members, ensuring that personnel who suffer sudden illness or medical emergencies receive timely support.

He therefore appealed to all service personnel in the municipality to contribute generously to sustain the fund.

“This fund is for all of us. We are calling on colleague personnel to support this initiative so that when any of us is faced with an unforeseen health emergency, we will not be left alone. We must be our brother’s keeper,” he said.

Beyond welfare, the NASPA President cautioned personnel against acts of indiscipline and misconduct that could tarnish the image of the Association and jeopardize their future opportunities.

He reminded personnel that national service is not only about official duties at their places of posting but also about community service, mutual support and contribution to local development.

President Justice further expressed his gratitude to the Municipal Chief Executive for Offinso South,Hon.Frank Owusu Amoah, and other stakeholders for their continuous support for NASPA activities in the district.

He noted that the Emergency Health Fund is intended to outlive his tenure and become a lasting legacy for future batches of service personnel posted to the municipality.

“I believe this initiative will not end with us. The incoming personnel will continue it and it will be a generational blessing that will promote unity, welfare and high morale among our members,” he stressed.
