ST. GREGORY THE GREAT SEMINARY RECEIVES SOUND EQUIPMENT DONATION FROM T.I. MUSICAL STORE
Parkoso-Kumasi, Ashanti Region – The St. Gregory the Great Provincial Major Seminary at Parkoso in Kumasi has taken delivery of modern sound equipment donated by Mr. David Nortey, Chief Executive Officer of T.I. Musical Store, Adum-Kumasi.
The items, which include speakers, amplifiers, a conference microphone system, wireless microphones and microphone batteries, were presented to the Seminary through Mr. Isaac Owusu.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Seminary, the Management expressed profound gratitude to the donor, quoting Colossians 3:23: _“Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others.”_
According to the Seminary, the donation is timely and will significantly enhance its core activities.
“This generosity is more than a donation of equipment; it is an investment in formation, worship, communication and the future mission of the Church,” the Seminary said in a statement. “These items will serve the Seminary in its academic, liturgical, pastoral and community activities, helping us to carry out our mission more effectively.”
The statement noted that effective sound projection is critical for lectures, liturgical celebrations, seminars and community engagements that form an integral part of priestly formation.
The Rector, Formators and Seminarians jointly expressed their appreciation, saying: “Thank you, Mr. David Nortey. Thank you, T.I. Musical Store. May God richly bless your generosity and grant you many more opportunities to be a blessing to others.”
The Seminary has also used the occasion to appeal to individuals, corporate bodies, parishes and groups of goodwill to support the formation of future priests. It emphasized that supporting seminaries is a shared responsibility and an investment in evangelization and the growth of the Church.
The Management added that donations in cash or in kind, including books, pastoral tools, liturgical items and infrastructure support, are welcome.
St. Gregory the Great Provincial Major Seminary, Parkoso-Kumasi, is one of the Provincial Major Seminaries in Ghana responsible for the academic, spiritual and pastoral formation of seminarians.
