Two Dead as Torrential Rains Devastate Samreboi Community..

Residents of Samreboi in the Amenfi West Municipality of the Western Region have been severely affected after torrential rainfall triggered widespread flooding across the community.

The floods, caused by the overflow of the River Tano, inundated homes, roads, and farmlands, forcing many families to flee while others struggled to save their belongings.

According to reports, the disaster claimed the lives of two people—a 17-year-old teenager and a one-year, six-month-old child. Several residents were displaced as floodwaters continued to rise and enter homes.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Amenfi West, Hon. Priscilla York, visited the affected areas and donated relief items to support victims. Residents are also calling on the government, NADMO, and other stakeholders to provide additional humanitarian assistance and implement long-term flood prevention measures.

Although the floodwaters have started to recede, many families are still counting their losses and will need continued support to recover from the disaster.
