OFFINSO NORTH MP DISBURSES GH¢400,000 TO 200 TERTIARY STUDENTS UNDER ANIDASO SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

Offinso North, Ashanti Region- The Member of Parliament for Offinso North, Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah, has disbursed a total of GH¢400,000 to 200 tertiary students in the constituency under his flagship educational support initiative.

Each beneficiary received GH¢2,000 to help cushion their educational expenses for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The disbursement, which took place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, forms part of the Anidaso Students’ Assistance Program (ASAP), an intervention launched by the MP in March 2026 to support deserving tertiary students and ease the financial burden associated with higher education.

Addressing students, parents, traditional leaders and stakeholders at the ceremony, Hon. Dr. Asamoah reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to human capital development in Offinso North.

He noted that education remains the cornerstone of the constituency’s development agenda and urged beneficiaries to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their studies.

“Investing in education is investing in the future of Offinso North. I urge you to take your studies seriously, work hard to achieve your academic goals, and come back to contribute meaningfully to the development of your communities,” the MP stated.

Hon. Dr. Asamoah assured the gathering that he will continue to explore sustainable ways to support students and expand access to tertiary education in the constituency.

The ceremony was graced by officials from the District Education Directorate, including the District Director of Education, Mr. Martin Addo Fordjour; Mr. Justice Tayasi, Deputy Director in charge of Supervision and Monitoring; Mr. Nakotey Albert Kofi and Mr. Emmanuel Effah.

Also present were the Offinso North NPP Constituency Chairman, Chairman Johnson Mogma, Nananom, members of the clergy, parents, party executives and students.

The beneficiaries, visibly elated, expressed profound gratitude to the MP, describing the support as timely and a great relief in meeting their academic needs, including fees, accommodation and learning materials.

The Anidaso Students’ Assistance Program (ASAP) is one of several social intervention programs being championed by Hon. Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah to promote education, empower the youth, and accelerate development in the Offinso North Constituency.
