NPP National Executives Elections: Let’s Support Whoever Emerges Victorious for 2028 Victory — Former Dormaa East DCE
Former Dormaa East District Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang, has called on members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to put the interest of the party ahead of individual candidates as the party prepares for its national executives elections on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Speaking ahead of the elections, Hon. Agyemang wished all delegates travelling to Kumasi a safe journey and prayed for victory for the NPP.
He urged party members to support whoever emerges victorious, stressing that unity, discipline and collective effort would be essential to strengthening the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He also called on supporters to celebrate the election results moderately to avoid unnecessary tensions and disagreements within the party.
He expressed confidence in the NPP’s prospects under its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, saying a victory in 2028 could create employment opportunities for party members and other qualified Ghanaians.
On whether he intends to contest the NPP parliamentary primaries in Dormaa East, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang said his decision would largely depend on the views and support of the people he seeks to serve.
He explained that leadership is about responding to the needs of the people and using one’s knowledge and experience to serve them.
He said if the people call on him to seek their mandate, he would consider the challenge, but where there is little interest, he could wait for the appropriate time.
Hon. Agyemang added that he is currently consulting party stakeholders, authorities and other individuals to determine where his services are most needed.
He, however, assured the NPP that he remains committed to serving the party in any capacity, whether or not that leads to him becoming a Member of Parliament.
