Former Member of Parliament for Subin, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has congratulated Justin Frimpong Kodua on his re-election as General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party.
In a statement issued after the National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026, Mr Boakye Antwi said he accepts the outcome of the polls.
“On Saturday, 3rd October 2026, delegates of our great New Patriotic Party exercised their democratic right to elect new National Officers. I respect and accept the verdict of the delegates,” he said.
He extended warm congratulations to Mr Kodua, who polled 4,486 votes to retain his position, and to all newly elected National Officers, while commending fellow aspirants for a spirited contest.
Mr Boakye Antwi, who secured 162 votes, thanked delegates who placed confidence in him, his campaign team, and party faithful across the 16 regions for supporting his message of unity and grassroots empowerment.
He stressed that his campaign was not about an office but about building a stronger and more united NPP.
“That mission continues. I stand ready to work with the General Secretary and the new national executive, and my team and I pledge our full support as we rebuild, reorganise and return the NPP to power in 2028,” he added.
