Kenyasi No.2 Traditional Council Urges Residents To Weed Tombs Of Deceased Relatives

The Kenyasi No.2 Traditional Council in the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region has called on residents to take responsibility for cleaning and maintaining the tombs of their deceased relatives at the local cemetery.

According to the Council, the cemetery has become bushy and unkempt, making it difficult to access and maintain its sanctity.

Speaking on behalf of the Kenyasi No.2 Manhemaa, the spokesperson, Kyeame Adu Kwame, said it is the duty of every family to visit the cemetery and weed around the tombs of their loved ones.

He emphasized that proper maintenance of the cemetery is a shared responsibility and a sign of respect for the departed.

*Warning Against Littering At Durbar Grounds*

Kyeame Adu Kwame also issued a stern warning to individuals who dump refuse and litter the Durbar grounds.

He noted that the Durbar grounds is a sacred and important community space that must be kept clean at all times.

He cautioned that anyone caught littering or improperly disposing of waste at the Durbar grounds will be summoned before the palace to answer for their actions.
