A HEART OF GOLD: Dr. Gideon Omane Feeds Offinso Police and Inmates

Offinso, Ashanti Region -It was a scene filled with joy and gratitude at the Offinso Police Station when celebrated humanitarian and medical practitioner, Dr. Gideon Omane, put smiles on the faces of both police officers and inmates.

In a compassionate gesture that has touched many hearts in the municipality, Dr. Omane donated large quantities of cooked food, assorted drinks, and bottled water to personnel at the station.

What made the donation extra special was that Dr. Omane did not forget those behind bars. He ensured that inmates in custody were also catered for, sharing the same meals and drinks with them.

Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Gideon Omane said his act was inspired by his belief that every human being, regardless of their situation, deserves love, care and dignity.

He noted that while police officers do a difficult job protecting lives and property and need to be motivated, inmates also need to feel that society has not abandoned them.

“Such small acts of kindness can bring hope and reformation,” Dr. Omane stated.

The District Police Commander, on behalf of the officers and the inmates, expressed immense appreciation to Dr. Omane for the kind gesture. He described him as a true philanthropist whose kindness is unmatched in the municipality.

The inmates were also visibly moved by the gesture and offered prayers for Dr. Omane and his family.

Once again, Dr. Gideon Omane has demonstrated that true leadership is about service to humanity. His continuous support and commitment to the Offinso community remains exemplary and worthy of emulation.
