A tragic incident has occurred in Obuasi Municipality, resulting in the death of a woman identified as Ante Attaa, estimated to be over 50 years old.
According to eyewitnesses, Ante Attaa was allegedly stabbed multiple times by an unknown man during a power outage on Saturday evening around 7 pm.

The motive behind the incident is believed to stem from a long-standing feud between Ante Attaa’s son, Kwaku, and the alleged perpetrator.
The suspect allegedly stabbed Ante Attaa on her chest and beneath her breast, causing severe bleeding that led to her death at her kitchen.

The deceased is survived by four children, two boys, and two girls. Her daughter, known as Sister, received the distressing news while caring for her newborn on Saturday night.
The Assembly Member for the Abompekrom-Mensem Electoral area, Fredrick Addo, expressed deep concern over the incident, stating that such a tragic event has never occurred in the area before.
The police have initiated investigations, but the cause of the woman’s death is still unclear, and the identity of the alleged perpetrator remains unknown.
