Bawumia Congratulates New NPP Executives, Pledges Support For Victory 2028

The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has congratulated the newly elected National Executives of the party following their election in Kumasi on Saturday.
In a press release dated Sunday, October 4, 2026, from his office, Dr. Bawumia said the elections, which signaled the completion of the reorganization of the NPP ahead of the 2028 presidential election, was conducted in an atmosphere of peace and transparency.
“The outcome, therefore, reflects the wishes of the delegates of the New Patriotic Party,” the statement said.
Dr. Bawumia expressed the expectation of the rank and file of the party that the John Boadu-led National Executives will commence the process of preparing the party for the 2028 election.
He also committed to providing the necessary support to the new leadership to run an inclusive system that allows all talents in the party to be harnessed for victory.
“In victory or in defeat, no talent should be left out in the 2028 campaign,” Dr. Bawumia stressed.
John Boadu was elected National Chairman with 2,888 votes, beating Boakye Agyarko, Paul Afoko and Sammy Crabbe, while Justin Frimpong Kodua was retained as General Secretary with 4,486 votes.
Other elected officers include Henry Nana Boakye, Nana Akomea and Kojo Fosu Boadu as Vice Chairmen, Daniel Titus-Glover as National Organiser, Mavis Hawa Koomson as Women’s Organiser and Abanga Fuseini Yakubu as Youth Organiser.
