Incumbent General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua has been re-elected General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party.
Mr Kodua, popularly known as JFK, secured a landslide victory with *4,486 votes* at the party’s National Delegates Conference held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
It is the highest votes polled by any candidate in the 2026 national executive elections.
His closest contender, former MP for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro Sylvester Tetteh, polled 1,340 votes, while former Subin MP Eugene Boakye Antwi secured 162 votes and Dr Charles Dwamena had 126 votes.
Over 7,163 delegates voted in the elections to elect nine national officers ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Mr Kodua, a lawyer who first won the position in 2022 after beating John Boadu with 2,837 votes, will now serve a second term as chief administrator of the party.
His re-election comes as the NPP seeks to reorganise and rebuild after its 2024 defeat, with his campaign message centered on “Prepared. Well-positioned. Focused. REBUILD.”
