“Youth Leader and Stakeholders Unite Against Drug Abuse in Offinso North”

The youth member of parliament for Offinso North, in collaboration with Noble News, and the Akumadan Police Command, organized a sensitization program to educate the community on the dangers of drug abuse.

The event, which took place in Akumadan, aimed to raise awareness about the causes and effects of drug abuse and to encourage young people to say no to substance abuse.

The program highlighted the alarming rate of drug abuse among young people, citing curiosity, peer pressure, and availability of substances such as cigarettes and alcohol as major contributing factors.

The youth were cautioned against the dangers of experimenting with drugs, which can lead to addiction and even death.

The organizers emphasized the need for stakeholders, including parents, educators, and community leaders, to work together to prevent drug abuse.

They also called for stricter regulations on the advertisement and sale of substances that can be harmful to young people.

The event concluded with a call to action, urging young people to prioritize their health and well-being by avoiding substance abuse. The community was encouraged to report any suspicious activity or substance abuse to the authorities.

The fight against drug abuse requires a collective effort. Let’s work together to create a safe and healthy environment for our youth to thrive. If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, please seek help.
