“We’re Starving”: YEA Staff Cry Out for Help Over Unpaid Salaries.

Staff of the Youth Employment Agency are sounding the alarm about their dire situation, revealing that they’re struggling to survive due to unpaid salaries.

Despite being permanent staff since December 1st, they’ve yet to receive a dime.

According to Mr. Osei Yaw Akoto, the group’s spokesperson, they’ve been working as contract staff for over two to eight years, only to be assured of permanent positions after a rigorous process

However, the promised salaries have not materialized, leaving them on the brink of hunger and poverty.

One of their colleagues reportedly attempted to take his own life due to unbearable hardship, highlighting the gravity of the situation.

The staff had met with CEO Mr. Malik Basintaly, who assured them that their salaries would be paid, but so far, nothing has materialized.

The staff is urging the authorities to intervene and ensure that their salaries are paid promptly.

The situation underscores the need for effective financial management and accountability within government agencies to prevent such crises.
