Vulcanizer Machine Explodes in Mankessim, Man Left Fighting for Life.

E/R: A devastating incident occurred on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Volta Bar New Nkusukum-Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

A vulcanizer machine exploded, causing severe injuries to a man identified as Brother Richard, 35.

According to eyewitnesses, Richard was inflating a tire when the machine suddenly exploded, resulting in multiple injuries, including the exposure of his intestines.

He was rushed to the Roman Hospital in Mankessim and later referred to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital due to the severity of his condition.

Eyewitnesses, including Maame Isha and shop owner Isaac Opoku, described the terrifying moment and expressed shock.

Witnesses urged vulcanizers to regularly inspect equipment to prevent similar incidents.

Authorities have not released an official statement, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
