Update: Wildlife Division of Forestry Commission,NADMO takes swift action on hippopotamus menace in Tolomedzi

The media spotlight on hippopotamus menace in Tolomedzi at KpareKpare electoral area in the Krachi East Municipal, has prompted swift action from the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission and National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).

A joint team from both organizations visited the community to assess the situation and provided education to residents.

Mr. Alfred Kofi Barah, Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission Manager, and his team conducted an educational programme for community members on coexisting with hippos in the area

Mr. Jonathan Dzunu, Krachi East Municipal Director of NADMO, stated that their organization still accessing the destruction caused by the animals and will submit a report to the appropriate authorities for assistance.
