The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Ashanti Region executives have paid a visit to their colleagues who were involved in an accident at Afari, in the Ashanti Region.
Thankfully, all the journalists are receiving medical attention and are reported to be doing well, although some are still under close monitoring.
According to reports, four journalists are currently admitted to hospitals for further treatment.
Three are being treated at the Afari Community Hospital, while one has been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
We are pleased to note that one of our colleagues, Ibrahim Abubakar Ruwankarau, has been discharged from the hospital and is receiving further care.
The GJA executives’ visit demonstrates the association’s commitment to supporting its members, especially during times of need.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
