Two Arrested for Impersonating Ghana Gold Board Taskforce Officials
The Western Central Region Police Command has apprehended two individuals, Foster Delord, 40, and Prince Worvi, 38, for allegedly posing as Ghana Gold Board Taskforce officials and extorting money from gold buyers.
Claiming to be former military officers, the suspects visited various gold dealers, impersonating taskforce officials.
Exhibits confiscated from the suspects include:

The suspects were arraigned before the Tarkwa Circuit Court and remanded into police custody pending further investigation.
The Regional Police Command has issued a public advisory, cautioning citizens to verify the identity of individuals claiming to represent government agencies.
This arrest is part of ongoing efforts to combat unauthorized activities and maintain law and order.
President John Mahama has also directed the arrest of individuals falsely claiming to be part of the anti-galamsey task force, emphasizing the need for credible and lawful approaches to tackling galamsey.
